Business Series: Chroma Stationery

Chroma Stationery (3)This business series is something I love.  It allows me to feature companies that I adore and people I look up to as role models.  Today’s post is with a very inspiring lady, who envisioned beautiful stationery and has worked incredibly hard to make it happen.  I’m thrilled to be able to share today’s Q&A with you as I first found the business when it was relatively new and since then, have seen it grow immensely (and at such a rapid pace!).  So, without further ado, let me present to you: Gabi, founder and Girl Boss of Chroma Stationery!

P.S.  If you haven’t heard of Chroma Stationery before, you’ll need to check out my previous post on it – I shared two notebooks that I purchased back when the store was quite new.  I fell in love with Chroma Stationery when I first came across it and I love seeing how successful it is now.

How to find motivation to read more

reading

Last week, I shared 35 resolutions that will help you to become a better you.  It wasn’t just for you, it was for me too.  One of those was to “read more” and it’s one that I really need to do.  So I thought I’d make that resolution one of mine for this year, making it apt to share how I plan to do that this year.  I don’t read enough, in my opinion and I’ve always said that “one day, I’ll be a read more”.  Of course, one day never really comes, does it?  So with resolution 14 in mind, I’ve decided to actually pick up some books that I’ve been meaning to read but never got around to it.  And let’s be fair, the best way to achieve a target you probably wouldn’t have planned to achieve is to set up something to motivate you to do it – and that’s where this post comes in handy!

In my searches, I came across a few things that I’ve started to do or am planning to use – in the hopes that they’ll help me to achieve my goal & in turn, also help you to do the same.  I thought I’d share a few of my favourites here today.Read More »

Business Series: Pau and Ari Designs

logoI’m really excited to kick off this Business Series with one of my favourite stores for beautiful stickers and that’s Pau and Ari Designs.  If you’re into stickers or decorating your planner then this one is definitely for you.  I especially love that the products are unique, handmade creations that help to support a small business!  I’m honoured to be a part of the PR team, sharing the amazing goodies they create over on my Instagram account.  The store is named after two awesome ladies – Pau & Ari, of course.  Pau (or Paula) runs the Etsy store – doing everything from admin to designing to packaging the items – whilst Ari helps out by designing some of the stickers.  The store is based in Spain but her postage is very reasonable (it’s cheaper than some local stores!) so I’m forevering spending money over there.

Today, Pau is sharing a little about her etsy store and how it came around.  There’s even a discount code – and I’ve decided to hold a giveaway too – at the end so be sure to check that out!Read More »

Giveaway: Pau and Ari Designs

I wanted to share some items from a shop that I massively love, called Pau and Ari designs.  I’m very lucky that I am on their PR team and have been able to share their beautiful stickers over on my Instagram account. They make gorgeous stickers for planners and I am a huge fan!  I purchased an extra set of one of my favourite kits – the Pocahontas kit – and a few other sheets by them that I wanted to giveaway to one winner…

Erin Condren Life Planner 2017

EC Life Planner 2017 - 4In honour of the Erin Condren launch of the new 2017 life planners, I have dedicated two posts to it (yes, TWO posts in ONE day?! Say whaaaat? I know, very unusual for me… but it was just way too long for one post).  You can find part one over here.  If you are new to EC life planners, I would recommend you pop over to part one as that will give you a good overview of what the life planner is and some photos of the inside.

Here, I am going to talk more about the new features and what I love (or don’t love) about them!  So I am assuming you’ve read the first post or already know about Erin Condren life planners…Read More »

Erin Condren Life Planner 2016

Erin Condren LifePlanner 2016This week something happened that most of the planner community will have heard about: the Erin Condren launch!  EC launched their 2017 life planners and the internet pretty much crashed…  Yeah that’s right, their launch crashed the internet.  Seriously.

My Facebook feed was full of talk about it.  Planner groups on Facebook would have tons of daily posts about it (they are still happening!).

So, I think it’s only fair that I dedicate this week’s post to Erin Condren and the beautiful community they have helped to build.  Now I couldn’t get all of this to fit in one post, as it would be too long to encompass all of this amazing into one… so I’m splitting it into two parts. Today is part one of the two part series.  This will be a quick flip through my 2016 EC life planner and initial thoughts from it…

I also have a discount for you later in the post so stayed tuned!Read More »

National Stationery Week – World Stationery Day ft. Kikki.K

NSW 2013 with date and website and partners (no website)World Stationery Day… An international day of Stationery!  I cannot wait to see what everyone gets up to today or talks about, there’s so many different ideas and concepts.  I actually had a bunch of different ideas, including showcasing some of the stationery goodies that I have brought on my travels across the world.  However, there was a little too much for one post so I decided I’ll share it in multiple posts at another time.  For today, I wanted to take a moment to talk about an amazing company that I adore.  One with a fantastic international presence – so perfect for the the ‘world’ part of this – and amazing customer service.  I was fortunate enough to go to an event on Monday night (if you’re following me on Instagram, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about here) at the stores and meet the founder of the company!

National Stationery Week – Get Organised Day

PlannersGet organised day?  That can only mean one thing in my books – planning day!  This is clearly one of my favourite themes simply because it means I get to include pictures of the planners that I love for no other reason than to share them with you, because I love them.  Planners are an essential part of how I organise my life.  I have previously shared how I used 3 different planners on a regular basis.  I am currently changing everything up again so I will be sure to share this with you once I have the new set up.

If you’re new to planning or don’t use one – please consider it!  Planning has really helped me to figure out my dreams, goals and to start reaching them.  Without it, I would be lost and I certainly would not have achieved all of the things that I have achieved today.  I love seeing my goals getting ticked off and my dreams coming closer – and I would absolutely love to see the same for you.

So let’s talk about planners today and my thoughts on how to get organised!  Now there’s tons of ways to use your planners – I think I once made a list that was too long to fit on a single page… Whoops!  But these are a few of my favourite ways to get organised…Read More »

October Favourites – Stamps

I can’t believe that it’s November already, it really just feels like the other day when I was writing about my September obsessions!  Nonetheless, it’s the end of the month and I thought it might be nice to share some of my favourites again.  Last time I spoke about some things that I loved doing – activities like writing letters or watercolouring.  It was 5 broad topics that I picked last month so I thought I would do something different this month and instead focus on my favourites in one theme!

This month I have really loved stamping so I thought I’d share my top products in this area.  I use the stamps in a variety of ways – from creating greeting cards or letters to decorating my planner.  My focus was trying to use one set of stamps in different ways to get the most out of them.  I also purchased a few new products this month, which I’m really enjoying.

Mama Elephant – Pandamonium

Mama Elephant - Pandamonium ZombiesMama Elephant Pandamonium stampsI’ve owned this set for a while now and really enjoyed using it for different occasions.  It’s one you can use to send cards to those you love, especially with all of the cute lovey dovey sentiments but you can also use it for New Year’s or Christmas.  I went one step further with it this month to see if I could do anything else with it and from that came a bunch of fun Halloween goodness!  I shared a picture of these in my Halloween Planner spread last week but I absolutely love how flexible these stamps are.  It was so easy to turn these cute pandas into zombies.  I think this is definitely one set you’ll see featured a lot more in my upcoming crafts as I have fallen head over heels with it all over again.

Mama Elephant - Pandamonium lettersI think what I’ll love most about this particular set is that it contains the same animal but in many different poses and angles.  This gives you the opportunity to create a whole scene of pandas or to use the one that fits your needs best.  Very often, I wish that there were a few more angles of a stamp and this set provides for all of your needs.  I really enjoyed creating the monsters from it and then the next day, using them as they are to add a simple design to an letter set.

Docrafts – Forever Friends (Classic Decadence)

Docrafts Forever Friends stampsThe Forever Friends Classic Decadence stamp set is quite new to me and yet, I’ve already played around with it more than some of my other stamp sets.  Like the Pandamonium set, this too can be used for so many occasions.  There are many different angles and sizes of these teddies but this time, each is carrying a different item.  Birthdays, celebrations, thinking of you… whatever the occasion, you’ll probably be able to find a use for this set.  There are the obvious ideas – such as the teddy with a cupcake could easily go for a Birthday card or the one with the champagne glass works for a congratulations or graduation card.  But there are other ideas you could easily do from this set too…  For example, you could even use the teddy at the bottom right to put the star above him on a Christmas Tree.

This month, I decided to make some simple cards and letter sets using these stamps.  I wanted to try making something simple and so, I stuck to just using the stamps with some colouring, die cutting or washi tape.  These are really easy to replicate – and mass produce, if you wanted to do that.  Here are some examples of things that I made with the Forever Friends set recently…

Forever Friends Examples

The Greeting Farm – Do Si Do Anya

The Greeting FarmThe Greeting Farm stamps are ridiculously cute.  They also have digital stamps available for download, if you prefer to print your stamps (or want to use them for digital crafts).  Unfortunately, I don’t have a working printer so can’t play around with those at this moment but I do love their rubber stamps.  This Do Si Do Anya is super cute. Their characters are simple but cute and you’re bound to find ones that you love.  This Anya can easily be used for any occasion – just add the sentiment you want. use a different background scene or combine with other stamps to create the card for your occasion.

The Greeting Farm - Do Si Do AnyaHave I mentioned that these stamps are also incredibly fun to watercolour?  It is so relaxing painting these on the sofa, whilst watching some TV or hanging out with the family.  I love stamps that fill most of the card and therefore don’t require so much concentration to colour or create!

These three stamps are the ones that I have really been loving this month.  There are others that I have used throughout the month but these three stamp sets have really stood out for me and I have enjoyed using them in different ways.  I think these favourites are the ones that I reached out for most in the month and will definitely continue to do so into the next!
